What are the benefits of Dermaplaning?

Dermaplaning provides an effective and safe exfoliation treatment that promotes deeper product penetration, boosting the effects of skin care products while making the skin look and feel smoother and also reducing the appearance of acne scars. The treatment also works to remove facial hair that can trap dirt and oils.

How long does it take to recover from Dermaplaning?

Dermaplaning is a quick, effective procedure that normally takes 45 minutes to one hour to complete. It is recommended that patients space treatments approximately two to four weeks apart for the best results. No, there is absolutely no recovery or down time with this treatment

Is Dermaplaning safe for sensitive skin?

Dermaplaning, or blading, is an exfoliating treatment that provides an alternative to chemical peels or microdermabrasion and is a good choice for anyone who has fine facial hair (peach fuzz), extremely sensitive skin, redness or rosacea, or visible facial veins.

How do I take care of my skin after Dermaplaning?

The skin may feel a little tender after your initial treatment and may need some additional pampering. Use a gentle cleanser to avoid causing irritation. As mentioned previously, the outermost layer of cells have been removed and the cells remaining must be treated with care.

What should I avoid after Dermaplaning?

Avoid heat, saunas, hot tubs and sweaty activity for 24 hours; this includes exercise of any kind. Avoid products containing any exfoliating agents (retinoic acid, retinol, tretinoin, retinol, benzoyl peroxide, glycolic acid, salicylic acid, astringents, etc.)
